  • FAA — Growing Up Inside The Game

Why It’s Interesting: A decade after bursting onto the scene as one of tennis’s most promising juniors, Felix Auger-Aliassime (fka FAA) sits down with The Changeover Podcast to reflect on how fame, success, and expectation have shaped him, and why slowing down has made him a better player and person.

  • Leaving You With Francis Tiafoe’s Bad Daps

On Monday Match Analysis, Gill is joined by former top-5 player Jimmy Arias to discuss the evolution of tennis and the modern game. One of the most fascinating things about tennis is how it has continued to change over the years. Gill thinks we’ve reached a point where it’s starting to become clear how 2020s tennis is going to be viewed as an evolution. It’s one thing looking at Sinner and Alcaraz- that’s only two players. It’s when you start considering: Fils, Rune, Lehecka, Fonseca, Cobolli, and Draper… not to to say they’re all the same. But you can start to see a prototype forming for the modern player of the mid to late 2020s.

Hey everyone, Gill Gross here. While I’m grateful for any amount of success I’ve had talking tennis on the internet for the past half decade, I believe we should all be doing better in this sport as creators and as fans. The tennis content economy is far behind other sports by metrics of engagement and popularity. This newsletter is our effort to DRAW the great things we find in tennis every week- we search for content that teaches us, makes us think, makes us laugh and ultimately makes loving this sport the best possible experience. Our vision is to speed up the growth of a robust content economy in tennis, for the benefit of fans, players and creators alike.
